Dallas Cowboys superstar linebacker Micah Parsons had the perfect three-word reaction to the news of Myles Garrett’s record-setting contract with the Cleveland Browns.
Just weeks after requesting a trade, Garrett walked back and signed a four-year contract extension worth $160 million. The 2023 Defensive Player of the Year gets $123.5 million in guarantees, and he’s now the highest-paid non-quarterback in league history, as noted by ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
News of Garrett’s extension is obviously excellent news for Micah Parsons and other elite pass rushers who need new deals soon. The latter is four years younger than Garrett and entering the final season of his rookie deal.
After news broke of Garrett’s record-setting pact, Parsons took to X/Twitter and delivered this priceless three-word reaction:
To compare the two, Myles Garrett had 42.5 sacks over his first four NFL seasons. Micah Parsons has 52.5, recording at least 12 sacks in each season.

It’d be a surprise if Dallas owner Jerry Jones refuses to pay Parsons. Regardless, Parsons is about to become a very wealthy man.
Parsons, Garrett, Nick Bosa and T.J. Watt are by far the league’s best four pass-rushers. In 2023, Bosa got a five-year contract extension with the San Francisco 49ers worth $170 million, and Watt is entering the final year of a $112 million extension he signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2021.
There’s no question that Micah Parsons will soon join the $100 million club. The only question, really, is if he’ll surpass Myles Garrett’s $160 million deal.
