Sean ‘P Diddy’ Combs has been forced to “adapt to the restricted privileges of daily prison life” as he’s been being denied “VIP treatment,” according to one expert.

As P Diddy’s high profile case continues, many have speculated about the disgraced media mogul’s experience inside prison walls as he’s currently housed at the Metropolitan Detention Center. And as many are wondering what Diddy’s daily life looks like, prison expert James Pipe from Free Grants for Felons, has weighed in on the topic with his professional expertise.

Speaking on Diddy’s possible future sentencing if convicted, Pipe explained: “Many assume celebrities receive special treatment in prison, but that’s a misconception. If P. Diddy were to serve time, he’d experience the same restrictive environment as any other inmate, with strict regulations and limited autonomy.”

Pipe confirmed that despite his celebrity status, Diddy would face the same strict routines, limited freedoms, and the same rehabilitation programs as any other inmate in the event that he is convicted at trial. He explained: “In prison, identity shifts drastically – even influential figures like P. Diddy must adapt to the regimented structure and restricted privileges of daily prison life.”

Pipe went on to compare Diddy’s situation to other famed stars that have served time behind bars including businesswoman Martha Stewart, professional boxer Mike Tyson, and actor Wesley Snipes. The prison expert explained: “These celebrities did not receive VIP treatment; they followed the same rules and routines, participating in mandatory programs and adjusting to life as a number within the system.”

This comes as P Diddy is currently being housed at MDC in Brooklyn, New York as he awaits his upcoming court hearing on May 5, 2025. The famous jail where Diddy is currently living has been described as “hell on Earth.” MDC has previously been plagued by reports of frequent lockdowns, rat infestations, outbreaks of violence, and stabbings “at least a couple times a week.”

The rapper was arrested for federal charges of racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking and transportation to engage in prostitution. Diddy has pled not guilty to the criminal charges and has consistently denied the allegations against him and has maintained his innocence throughout.
