Football fans think that Kirk Cousins dropped a major hint on his next NFL team after he was spotted at a local Chipotle restaurant.

Kirk Cousins has been the subject of trade rumors in the offseason, as the Atlanta Falcons are ready to move forward with 2024 first-round pick Michael Penix Jr. as their starting quarterback in 2025.

Cousins signed a four-year contract worth $180 million in 2024 free agency, including $100 million guaranteed. After going 7-7 as a starter with 18 touchdowns and a league-leading 16 interceptions, Cousins was benched for the final three games in favor of Penix.

Two weeks ago, ESPN’s Marc Raimondi reported that “the most likely scenario at this moment is Cousins wearing an Atlanta uniform in 2025.” But social media detectives now believe that Cousins is on his way to the Cleveland Browns.

The reason? Cousins was spotted at a Chipotle restaurant in Westlake, Ohio. The city is located 16 miles west of Cleveland and about 19 miles from Huntington Bank Field, and Cousins himself confirmed it on X/Twitter:

Naturally, fans believe that Kirk Cousins’ travels to Westlake mean that he’ll eventually get traded to the Browns:

“Me when Kirk finds himself on this Browns team! 🔥,” a fan wrote with the iconic “You like that?” Cousins GIF.

“stay there,” wrote another.

“Kirk Cousins to the Browns confirmed? 👀,” a user said.

“Would you lift your no trade clause to come to Cleveland ? I’ll hang up and listen,” said another.

“See you soon in the land, big dawg,” a fan wrote.

“Save us,” another fan commented.

Cleveland starting quarterback Deshaun Watson will miss significant time, and possibly the entire season, after tearing his right Achilles tendon a second time. The other quarterback on Cleveland’s roster is Kenny Pickett, whom GM Andrew Berry acquired in a trade with the Philadelphia Eagles.

Pickett has not proven that he’s a starting-caliber quarterback, and it’s long overdue for the Browns to move on from Watson. So they might as well roll the dice on Kirk Cousins and see if he can return to full health and regain his Pro Bowl form.
