On Monday, December 2, the Top 8 Contestants on The Voice Faced Off in the Semi-Finals
During the season’s first live show, Sofronio Vasquez delivered a powerful rendition of Elvis Presley’s “If I Can Dream.”
Throughout the night, each of the Top 8 contestants performed a solo song, followed by a duet of a Sting track. The legendary artist himself joined in, playing bass for the duets as he served as the Mega Mentor for Team Snoop and Team Gwen this week.
From the moment he stepped on stage for his Season 26 audition, Sofronio Vasquez captured the coaches’ attention, earning an impressive four-chair turn with his performance of Mary J Blige’s “I’m Goin’ Down.” Even though each coach made a strong argument for Vasquez to join their team, the Phillippine native ultimately picked Michael Bublé’s team.

At this stage of the competition, it’s up to America to vote for which contestants will move on to the final five and perform in next week’s finale.
To win over viewers and secure a spot in the final five, Vasquez sang Elvis Presley’s 1960 hit “If I Can Dream.”
Elvis Presley’s “If I Can Dream” has been a symbol of hope and unity for decades. It is most known for its similarities to Martin Luther King Jr.’s “I Have a Dream” speech
After Vasquez’s moving performance, coach Michael Bublé praised him for the determination he has shown in making it to this point in the competition.
“Nobody in the whole universe besides you and your family knows what you’re going through,” Bublé said. “I think if people understood the strength you have on a night when it matters, you walk out here and take the brass ring, I’m so happy.”
The results for the final five contestants of The Voice Season 26 will be announced on Tuesday night’s episode (December 3). The four artists with the highest scores will advance automatically, while the bottom three will perform for the Instant Save.
