That is a poignant critique articulated by Jason Whitlock.

Watch Jason Whitlock of Blaze TV’s Fearless call out supposed superstar New York Liberty players Breanna Stewart and Sabrina Ionescu for their ‘choke job’ performances in the WNBA Finals, as Whitlock says they set women’s basketball back by pathetically ‘folding’ on the sport’s biggest stage.

Check out the segment above as Whitlock says that despite the ‘rigged’ championship that refs clearly handed Stewart and Ionescu’s New York Liberty at the expense of the Minnesota Lynx, it was further proof that no other female player can handle the immense pressure and spotlight that Caitlin Clark has had to deal with the last two years, adding that Stewart and Ionescu got a taste of that spotlight and choked with some of the worst performances we’ve ever seen in the history of championship games.

Jason Whitlock: “Let’s talk about that fold-job that just went on in the WNBA Finals in Game 4 and 5. Sabrina Ionescu, Breanna Stewart, and all the rest of them that played in that game. They got a tiny, tiny taste of the kind of spotlight and pressure that Caitlin Clark has been under all season. And what happened? They folded. They get a tiny bit of the attention that they’ve all been clamoring for — ‘We’ve made this league! It’s not just one player! They should be celebrating us rather than Caitlin Clark!’… That spotlight came, the WNBA finally has some attention, and Sabrina Ionescu goes 1 for 19 from the field. It’s one of the worst, if not the worst performances we’ve ever seen from a so-called ‘elite athlete’ in a championship game. She missed 14 straight shots and played like dog doo-doo under the spotlight and kind of attention Caitlin Clark has seen in every game since about her senior year in college. Have we ever seen Caitlin Clark fold up like that?

Breanna Stewart — one of them people like ‘When Caitlin Clark gets here, we’ll see if she can handle it…’ — Breanna Stewart gets the spotlight and looks like hot garbage. Four of 15 from the field, and took six steps before getting off that junk shot that the referees bailed her out from. These women folded up. They got a tiny taste of the attention, spotlight, and pressure that Caitlin Clark got and folded up. How is Breanna Stewart one of the all-time greatest players in the WNBA, and if she is, what does that say about the WNBA? Because anybody who watched this entire playoff series was like ‘BREANNA STEWART IS ONE OF THE ALL-TIME GREATS?? WHAT AM I MISSING HERE?? I DON’T SEE ANYTHING NICE, SPECTACULAR, INTERESTING, OR UNSTOPPABLE ABOUT HER GAME. NOTHING’…

She folded up. Got the attention they said they wanted and couldn’t perform. It was a choke job and the refs had to come in and hand them the series. The Lynx players folded up too. That was a God-awful performance. Everyone was there to see them and they put on a 67-62 garbage display.

They folded and couldn’t take the heat that Caitlin Clark takes every single game. Caitlin Clark never folded up like these women did once they got the attention and spotlight that they said they wanted. They couldn’t handle it.

Men handle pressure better than women and it’s not sexism, racism, homophobia, or antisemitism. There is a reason why in the game of chess that has been around forever, the best players have always been men, and women haven’t been able to compete with the best chess players. It’s a game of mental pressure and women fold easier than men.

It’s not a knock on women, it’s just explaining the differences between us. Some people panic under pressure and some people don’t. Men panic too but women panic at a higher rate. And that’s why these women played like hot garbage. They got a little taste of what Caitlin Clark gets on a nightly basis and collapsed.”
