Kane Brown made his People’s Choice Country Awards debut with a show-stopping performance of his 10th chart-topping single, “Bury Me In Georgia.”
Brown, a six-time People’s Choice Country Awards nominee, commanded the stage as he sang the boot-stomping anthem, which tributes his home state of Georgia.
“Bury me in Georgia/ Lemme rest in peace/ Underneath the pines/ Yeah, yeah, yeah/ Where my roots run deep/ When it’s my day/ Put me in that clay/ And remember what I told ya/ When I die/ Bury me in Georgia,” he sang from the iconic stage of the Grand Ole Opry.
The superstar’s performance of “Bury Me In Georgia” comes just days after the song secured the No.1 spot on the country airplay charts, becoming his 10th career No.1.
“Bury Me In Georgia” was officially released to country radio in April as the follow-up to “Thank God,” his wildly successful ninth chart-topper featuring his wife, Katelyn Brown.

Co-written by Brown alongside Josh Hoge, Matt McGinn, and Jordan Schmidt, “Bury Me In Georgia” appears on Brown’s latest album, Different Man, which was released last fall.
“‘Bury Me In Georgia’ just a song, you know, about the home state that I grew up in,” Brown previously stated. “That’s where I want to go whenever it’s my time. Especially the Georgia Bulldogs, they on top of it right now about three-peat so anyway, no, Georgia is just, you know, it’s always gonna place in my heart.”
Following the chart-topping success of the song, Brown unleashed his next musical chapter with the exhilarating “I Can Feel It.” The song officially impacted country radio on Monday (Sept. 25) and raked in an impressive 92 first-week adds. The song was the most-added track at country radio, signifying the beginning of what is sure to be another run up the charts for Brown.
Additionally, Kane Brown announced his highly anticipated In The Air Tour for 2024. Kicking off on March 28, 2024, the trek will visit stadiums and arenas through mid-September.
Joining Brown on select dates of the tour will be Tyler Hubbard, Jon Pardi, Chris Young, Bailey Zimmerman, Cole Swindell, Parmalee, LOCASH, and RaeLynn.

The first-ever People’s Choice Country Awards took place at the iconic Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville, Tennessee on Thursday (Sept. 28).
Throughout the show, awards for 12 categories were given out, including People’s Artist of 2023, Male Artist of 2023, Female Artist of 2023, Group/Duo of 2023, New Artist of 2023, Social Country Star of 2023, Song of 2023, Collaboration Song of 2023, Crossover Song of 2023, Album of 2023, Music Video of 2023 and Concert Tour of 2023.
Toby Keith was honored with the Country Icon Award, which was presented to him by Blake Shelton. Wynonna Judd was also celebrated with the Country Champion Award, given to her by Brothers Osborne.

The coveted awards show also featured performances from Blake Shelton, Carly Pearce, Dan + Shay, HARDY, Jelly Roll, Kane Brown, Kelsea Ballerini, Little Big Town, Toby Keith, Wynonna Judd and more.

Little Big Town was the host of the show. “We are honored to host the inaugural ‘People’s Choice Country Awards,’ especially on one of our most beloved stages in the entire world,” the group previously shared in a press release. “We look forward to welcoming so many of our talented peers to take the Opry stage for this magical night of music.”
The 2023 People’s Choice Country Awards’ aired live on NBC and Peacock on September 28 at 8/7c simultaneously on NBC and Peacock.
