Jason Kelce Reveals Nonsensical Way He Lost His Philadelphia Eagles Super Bowl Ring Last Week
Jason Kelce is getting a new Super Bowl ring made, as he’s lost the original one he earned in 2018.
The former Philadelphia Eagles star has revealed he has no idea where his ring is, except that it’s somewhere in a landfill in Cincinnati, which kind of boils down to the same thing.
Jason and his brother Travis live-taped their ‘New Heights’ show at the University of Cincinnati last week at the expense of one of his most prized possessions. Speaking on this week’s episode, the erstwhile offensive lineman admitted he lost said ring at some point during a chili tub scavenger hunt.
The game required contestants to sift through chili to try to find a sock containing his Super Bowl ring. None of the contestants could find it, and his friends didn’t fare any better despite hours of searching.
“I legitimately lost my Super Bowl ring in this event,” he said. “They could not find it.“This is ironic as the game was set up to make fun of the fact that Jason Kelce always loses his ring and finds it several days later. It appears he’s lost it for good this time.
Jason Kelce Is Hoping To Get A New Super Bowl Ring
The 36-year-old said he’s sure everything was trashed following the event and believes his ring is in a landfill in Cincinnati.
Kelce wasn’t all that beat up over the loss, however. He disclosed that he had already filed an insurance claim for it and hopes to have a new one made soon.
Meanwhile, Travis, who won his third ring with the Kansas City Chiefs this year, jokingly called his older brother a “F- ing imbecile” for involving his real Super Bowl ring in the game.
It sounds like a Kelce thing to do all the same.
