Coco Gauff Hosts First Thanksgiving as an Adult at Her Home as Her Inner Circle’s Heartfelt Gesture Proves Their Love…See more
For those unaware, Coco had revealed plans to buy her first home earlier this year in February. Since then, she was busy in finding the right place and eventually she got her dream house in Florida.
Previously, she was living with her parents in Atlanta. Now, she’s moved to Delray Beach to have better training options.
That being said, Coco is currently busy in having her ‘me time’ after wrapping up the season with a stunning victory at the WTA Finals in Riyadh, earlier this month. It’s a Thanksgiving week and Gauff knows how to make the most of it in the best way possible!
Remember, last year the 2023 US Open winner had made a banana bread while making her “Thanksgiving contribution”.
Not only that, she actually made different types of breads while showing her cooking skills. They included “4 loaves, 2 regular, one chocolate chip, one walnut banana bread”, revealed Coco on her Instagram story. This year, it seems like she’s getting even better at cooking.
Taking to her Instagram, the young American shared several clips in which she mentioned that she invited her family members and friends to dinner. “my first time hosting “cousins/friendsgiving” everyone made something”, she wrote in one of her Instagram stories, dated November 25th.
For context, Friendsgiving is a Thanksgiving-themed meal shared with friends, usually on or near Thanksgiving Day.
Coco Gauff is also becoming good at making TikTok clips. In one story she wrote, “i’m always gonna be the older cousin that invites herself to be in the tiktok” while trying to follow some cool steps with her cousins. Lastly, there was one more story that showed her growing passion for cooking as she “made sweet potato pie for the first time”.
Last month, Gauff announced on social media that she had recently moved out of her parents’ home and become a homeowner at the age of 20.
And when she arrived in Riyadh to compete in the year-end championships for a third time, she spoke with Reem Abulleil.
And revealed that she has found success in the kitchen, particularly with dishes like salmon teriyaki bowls and pasta with chicken.
However, she’s also experienced some culinary mishaps, including her attempts at baking banana bread.
“The bananas were like, too ripe, because you’re supposed to wait. I think I waited too long, so I threw them away. I tried to, like, freestyle it, without it,” she said.
“And that came out awful. I tried to make it for my fitness coach for his birthday, but then when I tested it, I was, ‘I can not give him this.’ … I was really disappointed in that, because banana bread is what I’m good at. I just thought that I would be good enough to maybe, you know, skip a couple ingredients.”
The experience taught Gauff a valuable lesson: Cooking is an art, but baking is a science. “I think baking is, you have to be more precise than cooking, so I won’t freestyle next time,” she said.
And going by the recent Friendsgiving clips, it’s very evident that she’s having a great time in her new home in Florida. However, she’s equally focusing on spending precious moments on outdoors with boyfriend Jalen Sera.
Coco Gauff unleashes her inner arcade gamer while enjoying an outing with BF Jalen Sera
Basking in the glory of her WTA Finals success, she was seen attending the Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival, last week, with Jalen Sera.
Not to mention that the concert was headed by none other than Tyler, the Creator. After having a great time at the Dodger Stadium, Gauff also went on an arcade ride!
In one of her Instagram stories, dated November 19th, Coco revealed her inner passion for the Pac-Man series. “ya’ll can’t touch me in ms.pac man and galaga”, she wrote. She had a fun time playing Pac-Man/Galaga.
At the same time, she let others know that she’s pretty good at arcade games, too, apart from having exceptional skills in the tennis court. It seems like she’s been trying her hands at the arcade title for a long period now.
While she’s enjoying her moments away from the court, Coco will soon be back in action. In the new year, she will try to improve her stint at the Australian Open – the first major event of 2025.
This year, she made it into the SF round of the tournament but couldn’t get past the challenge of Aryna Sabalenka, who defeated her in straight sets.
