Fans think Taylor Swift may have photoshopped an engagement ring out of a recent social media post, sparking rumors that the billionaire Eras Tour star may have been asked to marry the Kansas City Chiefs’ Travis Kelce.

The 35-year-old singer is known for being notoriously reserved about her private life as well as her professional career, rarely giving away details until she is ready to declare them on her own terms.

As a result, her loyal supporters often look for little clues for hints of upcoming albums, tracks, tours and now wedding plans too as they pointed out her left hand in a photo with Brittany Mahomes, which appears blurred.

The discourse started when Lizpwoods posted to Instagram, “Hey. Um, guys? Do you feel like the pics with her hand are… blurred? Or am I hormonal.”

The user then zoomed-in on all photos of the Cruel Summer star at the party, with fans theorizing she has used a bit of editing to hide a potential proposal from her Super Bowl-winning boyfriend.

However, with no official confirmation yet this is only speculation for the moment, especially as some fans pointed out that she could simply take the engagement ring off for photos if she didn’t want the public to know.

The gathering was to celebrate her 35th birthday; as well as the end of the Eras Tour, which concluded after 18 months with a final show at the BC Place in Vancouver on Sunday, December 8.

Kelce and Swift deny engagement rumors

Since linking up in August 2023, Kelce and Swift have not been strangers to the question of when they’re going to get married.

The musician rarely engages in that kind of speculation and the NFL star often elects to play down or avoid the question entirely, hinting they’re not going to be pressured into it.

And that happened once again in October after the Dallas Cowboys’ legend, Troy Aikman, referred to Swift as Kelce’s “missus”, which is usually used to describe a woman married to a man.

“It’s not true,” a source close to Kelce and Swift told TMZ of an engagement. “And the recent erratic and unfounded speculation on this couple is just proving that media and overzealous fans do not know what’s going on with them, and shouldn’t make wild assumptions based on zero facts.”
