Taylor Swift is about to read the “fine print” to Travis Kelce over Chiefs’ chaotic Christmas schedule

There are three weeks left in the NFL regular season and the Chiefs, who are looking for the first three-peat, are on the right track with a 13-1 record for only the second time in franchise history. Including Sunday’s game, the Chiefs will play three games in 11 days, with little rest and a lot of focus, because even though they currently hold the top seed in the AFC, they can’t afford to slip up. The Bills are lurking, waiting for any mistake in their next two games: Saturday’s home game against the AFC South champion Texans and Wednesday’s special Christmas Day game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, two teams they could face again in the playoffs.
Taylor Swift’s Christmas Plans Shift with Kelce’s Packed Schedule
With such a tight schedule and so much on the line for the Chiefs as the season winds down, Travis Kelce joined his brother Jason Kelce on the “New Heights” podcast to talk about how he views these games, especially the one against the Steelers on Wednesday, December 25th. Kelce said, “I play whenever, wherever. I just know I’m so lucky to play this game. I’m not going to harp on the schedule that we’ve been given.” Kelce, being the seasoned veteran that he is, understands the importance of these games and the attention they attract. The only person who probably wasn’t thrilled with the news was Taylor Swift, who was probably expecting to spend a quiet Christmas at home with her family like she did on Thanksgiving.
With her record-breaking “Eras Tour” now complete, Swift has the time to attend and support Travis, so she will likely be at Arrowhead Stadium this Saturday for the Chiefs’ final home game of the season. I also wouldn’t be surprised if she makes an appearance at the Steelers’ stadium on Wednesday, where Mariah Carey will perform and of course “All I Want for Christmas Is You” will be sung during the halftime show. For the second game of the day, between the Ravens and the Texans, Beyoncé will be the guest performer. Understandably, Taylor may prefer to rest after her tour, as anyone would after a lot of hard work.
Chiefs With Two Bye Weeks for Playoffs
Getting back to the Chiefs, their tight schedule won’t allow Mahomes to fully recover from the injury he suffered against the Browns on Sunday. It’s likely that Mahomes will suit up, knowing the importance of this game against a Texans defense that ranks second in the league in sacks this season (45). That means Mahomes will likely take some hits and his mobility will be tested. The Chiefs need to win their next two games or rely on the Bills losing a game – an unlikely scenario – to clinch home-field advantage throughout the playoffs. That would allow them to rest their players in Week 18 against the Broncos, essentially giving them two bye weeks combined with the one they’d earn by finishing as the AFC’s No. 1 seed.
