When Kane Brown’s wife, Katelyn, couldn’t make it to the concert, a lucky 20-year-old fan from the audience got the once-in-a-lifetime chance to sing with him on stage, creating an unforgettable moment for everyone in attendance.

Kane Brown is on the European leg of his The Drunk or Dreaming Tour. On what would turn out to be the final night of the tour in Munich Brown noticed 25 year old singer, Mariella Meyer holding a sign that read “Can I sing ‘Thank God’ with you?” It just so happened that Kane’s wife Katelyn, who sings on the song with Kane was back home in the United States on Mom duty so Kane brought her up!

“I have never made a sign for a show before but this time it just felt like the right thing to do,” Meyer told Music Mayhem. “I thought to myself what if I went to the show, held up my sign and I would end up actually singing with him? Similar to what Kane’s song ‘What Ifs’ talks about – we always think about what could go wrong instead of asking ourselves what if things turn out to be amazing so I needed to give it a shot.” Meyer said that whole experience was “an absolute dream come true”  and she did very well too! The two singers sang in harmony and it sounded as though they had sang many duets together eventhough this was the first! “To be brought up on stage by Kane Brown himself and to perform with an artist I totally admire is more than I could have ever dreamed,” Meyer shared. “I am still processing that it happened and I am so thankful Kane gave me this amazing opportunity especially on a night he was not feeling well. Definitely something I will never forget.”

The Munich show would end up being the last show on this international leg of Brown’s tour, as illness would force him to cancel dates in Berlin and Stockholm. His next scheduled tour stop is in March, although he’ll play Super Bowl Fest in Phoenix on Feb. 11.
