Her close friend, Kim Kardashian, is equally passionate about fashion, and together they’ve redefined glamor. Williams recently received a stylish gift from Kardashian’s brand, a trio of fashionable pieces that presented her with a delightful dilemma.
On Sunday, Williams recently uploaded an IG story, tagging Kim Kardashian and her brand. She was heard saying, “What a way to wake up and have this. So cool, can’t decide which one I like the most.”
In that video, she then showed her fans the three inner wears from Kardashian’s clothing brand, Skims. There was one that featured the leopard print, while the other one was of black color and the third one was white.
For those who are unaware, Skims was co-founded in 2019 by Kim Kardashian and Swedish entrepreneur Jens Grede. Skims has a focus on body positivity and inclusivity across the brand and practices inclusive sizing.
Moreover, this iconic fashion brand’s current value is at around $4 Billion. In 2022, Williams received a similar gift from her beloved friend.
It was in a big blue box then, and Williams later shared a glimpse of that on her social media. While opening the box, Williams also expressed her eagerness to go out for a swim.
She said, “Just going through my mail, but I’m excited for the swim…Get me in a pool.” The box also featured a blue-colored towel. A color that also happens to be the theme color of the brand.
Serena Williams and Kim Kardashian met each other almost more than 20 years ago. That was the time when Kardashian had a job organizing celebrities’ closets, including those in Williams’ home.
That’s how it started and their bonding has gotten stronger day by day. Then, in 2017 Williams invited Kim Kardashian during her marriage. Speaking about the tennis star’s relationship with Alexis Ohanian, she said,
“I’ve known Serena for so long and am so happy she’s found her prince. From the moment she told me she met Alexis in Rome, it was like…she’s been so happy and has this light about her that is so special to see.
You just know it is so real. He makes her so happy and that just makes her friends happy.” In an interview with Vogue in the same year, Kardashian gushed over Serena Williams’ “silly” side and how trustworthy she is.
“Serena’s the girl you can call and say anything to. She’ll never judge you, and she’s never too busy for you…Oh, and she can keep any secret,” said Kim Kardashian.
