During the latest episode of The Price is Right, contestant, Brittany made it all the way to The Showcase round just to lose everything by less than $1,000.

Many players on the beloved game show act hysterically when losing huge prizes. A woman recently fell to her knees after losing a car to Drew Carey’s offer.

The host was the most recent person to get emotional on the show but that was quickly forgotten when the latest contestant couldn’t fight her tears from her loss during The Showcase.

The Price is Right celebrated Spring Break week with an audience filled with college students. Princeton student Gavin and Purdue’s Brittany were the two who won a spot to The Showcase round.

The first prize presented was a round trip flight and stay to Lake Mead in Nevada where the winner would stay on a house boat. They would also win a Polaroid camera set, a hot tub and a brand new Nissan Altima.

Brittany politely declined the offer and allowed Gavin to place a bid, which he chose to be $33,251.

The next prize honored St. Patrick’s Day with a “pot of gold” of $3,000 in cash. It also included a 10-day stay in Ireland with rail and castle tours. Lastly, a Honda HRV was added to the prize fund.

Brittany guessed $45,000 before Drew sent the show to break.

Once the show returned, the host started off with Gavin and revealed his prize to be worth $42,790. The chances seemed slim for him with an almost $10,000 differential.

As Gavin put his head in his hands, Brittany was hopeful and wide-eyed as she awaited her what seemed to be a guaranteed prize.

Drew walked over to the contestant and revealed the actual value, which came as a sting.

The host said: “Don’t shoot the messenger. 44,327. You were just over.”

Brittany screamed “no” before Drew even finished the value. She stepped back to cover her face as her eyes filled with tears.

After congratulating her opponent, she rushed off the stage to conceal her disappointment while Gavin hopped in his hot tub in glee.
