Seacrest, 49, was first linked to the model, 26, when they were spotted celebrating Memorial Day together in May 2021. They made their red carpet debut one year later at the premiere of Jennifer Lopez’s Halftime documentary. Despite his high-profile career, Seacrest kept his relationship out of the spotlight and rarely spoke about Paige publicly. The couple did, however, share the occasional glimpse into their romanxe on social media. Paige also made an appearance on Seacrest’s final taping of Live with Kelly and Ryan, which he hosted for six years. She shared a touching tribute to her boyfriend on his last day as well, writing on Instagram: “Ryan, never have I ever met a more inspiring man. You make it look so easy, but the truth is there is just nobody quite like you. I am so beyond proud of you. Not just for your work ethic, but for your caring heart and the genuine love that you give to others.”

Why did Ryan Seacrest and Aubrey Paige breakup? Although we don’t know for sure, a source close to the couple told PEOPLE that Seacrest and Paige “mutually decided to part ways.” The source added: “They plan to stay in each other’s lives as good friends and support one another’s endeavors.” The American Idol host’s rep also confirmed the split, though neither Seacrest nor Paige have spoken publicly about it.

Paige has been subtly hinting at their breakup for throughout the past month. On April 23, the model an entrepreneur posted a video of herself moving into what appeared to be a new apartment. The post was set to Djo’s “End of Beginning”  and captioned: “Rebirth 🦋✨💕.” Several fans speculated about her and Seacrest’s split in the comments section, with one fan writing: “No Ryan ? 😮.” Another fan wrote, “New beginnings are for evolving – I heard this year that rejection is redirection – find the joy in what your next chapter holds for you!! 🦋.” Referencing Paige’s card game Sippin’ On Somethin’, a third fan wrote: “We knew this was coming. At least she’s got her game business going for her and she should be set.” One fan also questioned if she would be keeping their dog, Olio, who could be seen in the video. The exes rescued the pup together in February 2024, and Seacrest has shared several videos of him on his own social media.

Shortly after the news of their split broke, Paige posted a video of herself drinking wine in a pool. “S/O to my haters, this one’s for you 💋 happy #winewednesday,” she captioned the post, which featured an audio from a Nicki Minaj interview, in which the rapper states: “I am fully aware of what y’all say about me, No. 1. And I don’t give a f—k.”

Prior to the breakup, Seacrest’s former Live co-host Kelly Ripa spoke about his relationship with Paige during an episode of the talk show. “We were starting to be like, ‘Maybe he doesn’t have a special person and maybe we should check in on him more often?’” Ripa joked during a 2022 episode, adding that she was “so fond” of Paige and would “go into seclusion” if they ever broke up.

Seacrest is currently hosting Season 22 of American Idol and is also gearing up to take another television gig. This fall, he will be taking over Pat Sajak’s spot as host of Wheel of Fortune.
