Dale admitted the offence but still faced the prospect of a six month ban and three points on his licence.
Magistrates in Harrogate, North Yorks, heard Dale, 52, was speeding in a Vauxhall Astra Envoy DTI on the A64 near York on August 18 last year.
However magistrates spared him the ban after they heard how the impersonator would suffer “exceptional hardship” if he could not continue working as The King of Rock ‘n’ Roll.
Dale, from Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire, was fined £83 and ordered to pay a £33 statutory surcharge and £90 in prosecution costs as part of his sentence.
But crucially the tribute performer did not lose his licence, meaning he can continue to perform.
Dale performs in pubs and clubs around the midlands as a 70s era Elvis Presley impersonator.
He sings and performs some of the karate moves once performed by Elvis.
