Kim Kardashian is taking legal action against an alleged stalker, Melvin Jeffery Conley, who has a disturbing history with her “American Horror Story: Delicate” co-star, Emma Roberts. According to documents obtained by TMZ, the 43-year-old reality star has requested a restraining order against Conley following a chilling warning from Roberts.
Emma Roberts, 33, had a harrowing encounter with Conley after he broke into her home and called her from her own landline. Fortunately, Roberts was not home during the break-in, but she answered the call, believing it to be from a family member. Instead, she found herself speaking to Conley, who falsely claimed that Roberts had given him permission to stay at her house. Despite immediately contacting the police, Conley escaped before he could be apprehended.
Roberts warned Kardashian that Conley had expressed a desire to contact her and her children. This alarming information led Kardashian to take swift action to protect her family. According to her filing, Conley visited Kardashian’s mother, Kris Jenner’s home, the day after fleeing Roberts’ residence. He told security guards that he believed he was at Kardashian’s home for a scheduled meeting and claimed to be her long-term manager and an NBA player with the Toronto Raptors.
Conley’s attempts to reach Kardashian did not stop there. In July, he allegedly visited her Malibu home, which is not her primary residence. While the location’s relative obscurity provided some safety, Kardashian found it troubling that Conley was able to locate the Malibu property at all. Security guards apprehended him at the fence surrounding the home, where he allegedly intended to scale it.
Emma Roberts has since secured a five-year restraining order against Conley, which also protects her three-year-old son, Rhodes Robert Hedlund. Conley had mentioned Rhodes’ name during his call with Roberts, heightening her fears for her son’s safety.
Kardashian and Roberts’ collaboration on “American Horror Story: Delicate” has been well-received, and the two are set to work together again as producers on the upcoming Netflix series, “Calabasas.” This recent ordeal underscores the ongoing challenges and threats faced by public figures and the importance of legal protections against such dangers.
