He was known for his iconic quiff, trademark hip swings and daring outfits of pleated trousers and capes.

Elvis Presley, hailed the King of Rock and Roll, still lives on for many through his music.

However, some take his lasting legacy even further and commit to impersonating the rock star.

Presley pretenders from across the country gathered in Blackpool this weekend for a three-day competition in the British Elvis tribute contest.

It runs from March 15 to 17 at Viva Blackpool – a bustling show and party venue – and is the UK’s official qualifier for a big Presley tribute championship.

Those who put on their best Elvis act will earn themselves a place in the finals in Memphis, Tennessee.

The ‘If I Can Dream – The Great British Elvis Tribute Contest’ brought together the most dedicated Presley performers and fans.
