On Monday, the world learned that actor Austin Butler has been cast to play Elvis Presley in a new biopic from Australian filmmaker Baz Lurhmann.
And Butler and longtime girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens no doubt were still celebrating Tuesday as they stepped out together in LA.
The celebrity couple were snapped heading out together dressed for the hot summer’s day in casually stylish ensembles.

The High School Musical alum added green shorts and carried a large woven tote.
Her dark hair was styled in a top knot and she tied a colorful bandana as a headband.
Butler, 27, paired a loose-fitting blue denim shirt with black trousers and brown lace-up shoes.

Butler beat out heavy competition including Harry Styles, Ansel Elgort, Miles Teller and rapper G-Eazy to get the high profile role.
Luhrmann, 56, confirmed the casting news on Instagram as he shared an image of Presley followed by one of Butler.
Butler joins Tom Hanks who is on board to play Colonel Tom Parker, who spotted Elvis when he was relatively unknown in the 1950s and helped him with bookings and promotion before becoming his manager.
The singer’s first single heartbreak Hotel was released in January 1956 and the rest, as they say, is history.
Meanwhile, Hudgens, who has been dating Butler since 2011, gushed on her Instagram about her boyfriend’s new role.
‘I AMMMM OVERRRR THE F***ING MOOOOOOOOONNNNN. I CANT WAIT [six heart eyes emojis] SO PROUD OF MY HONEYYYYY!!!’ she wrote.
