Veteran wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins is staying in the AFC.
According to a report from NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the Baltimore Ravens are “expected to” land DeAndre Hopkins on a one-year contract worth $6 million. Hopkins split the 2024 season with the Tennessee Titans and Kansas City Chiefs.
The move also reunites Hopkins with star running back Derrick Henry. The two were teammates during the 2023 season, before Henry departed to join the Ravens in free agency on a two-year deal.
DeAndre Hopkins signed a two-year deal in Tennessee following his release from the Arizona Cardinals. Ahead of the 2024 trade deadline, he was sent to the defending Super Bowl champions for a conditional 2025 fifth-round pick.
The five-time Pro Bowler and seven-time 1,000-yard receiver finished the 2024 campaign with 56 catches for 610 yards and five touchdowns. He had a 41-437-4 stat line in 10 regular season games with the Chiefs, but only had three catches for 29 yards and one score in the postseason.
Kansas City fell 40-22 to the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl 59, denying “Nuk’ of his first championship ring. But the 32-year-old DeAndre Hopkins will get another chance to win that elusive title with another top AFC squad, led by Henry and Lamar Jackson.

Hopkins may not be in his prime anymore, but he provides valuable WR depth to a Baltimore offense that lacks legitimate game-changing pass-catchers outside of Zay Flowers and Mark Andrews.
Baltimore loves its reclamation projects, so perhaps a healthy Hopkins could post around his 1,000-yard form if he stays healthy and forms chemistry with Jackson.
