Brandon Beane says he isn’t scared to do the one thing Bills Mafia has been begging for since the AFC Championship Game

Brandon Beane knows what it takes to win in this league, and it sounds like he’s willing to do whatever it takes to get the Buffalo Bills to their ultimate goal. He’s done it before, and this year, he might just do it again.

Ever since losing to the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship Game, Bills Mafia has been desperate for Beane to go trade for a superstar on the defensive line. Fuel was added to the fire with the reports of Myles Garrett requesting a trade out of Cleveland. Now asked directly about whether or not Beane would be willing to trade a first round pick for a player, he didn’t hold back.

“Anything that’s right, that can help our team, yes. Yes. I would not flinch. I say this on the golf course — I’m a lot of things, but scared ain’t of them,” Beane said. “So yes, anything that can help our roster, that can fit, and not cripple us in another way, yes, we would definitely do it.”

Since taking over as General Manager of the Bills, Beane has made a pair of very large trades. The first was moving up in the 2018 NFL Draft to select one mister Josh Allen, and the other was to package the Bills’ first round pick and a slew of others to go get Stefon Diggs, providing a true top tier weapon for Allen to throw to.

Beane has showed us that he’s willing. Whether or not a deal gets done will take a lot of factors into consideration, but whether it’s Garrett, or Las Vegas’ Maxx Crosby, or Trey Hendrickson in Cincinnati, or someone else, if the opportunity presents itself and the value is right, Beane will not hesitate to make a move in the best interest of making the Buffalo Bills the best roster that they can be.

I’d also like to point out that, the opportunity might exist for Beane to make an aggressive trade up from the 30th overall pick to get into range for a defensive player in this year’s class if he feels like one is a surefire pick. We saw Beane move up to get Dalton Kincaid, although that was a small move of two picks, having identified that that was the player they want. In a defense-heavy draft class, if a player he has his eyes on gets to, say, the Atlanta Falcons at pick 15, who hold only four picks in the 2025 NFL Draft, then maybe Beane gets proactive to find a player that he believes will be a difference maker.

No matter how he does it, Beane needs to find players that can have a massive impact, and soon.
