Ohio State Buckeyes defensive tackle Tyleik Williams was injured at his pro day on Wednesday while running the 40-yard dash drill.
The Lantern Sports X/Twitter account shared a video of Tyleik Williams grabbing his left leg after falling down in the drill. Williams was looked at by a trainer before being helped to the sidelines.
According to Joey Kaufman of the Columbus Dispatch, Williams was later seen walking on his own with a wrap around his leg. So that’s a promising early sign that he avoided a serious injury.
The 22-year-old Williams played four seasons at Ohio State after graduating from Unity Reed High School in Virginia. He earned Second-team All-Big Ten and Third-team All-Big Ten honors in 2023 and 204, respectively.
The hulking 6-foot-3, 327-pound Tyleik Williams had 2.5 sacks in his final season of college, helping the Buckeyes to a national championship. He had four tackles in the 34-23 victory over Notre Dame in the national title game.
Williams appeared in 51 games over his four NCAA seasons, recording 11.5 sacks, 10 pass breakups and one fumble recovery. Arguably his best season was 2023 when Williams had three sacks, 10 tackles for loss and five pass breakups.

Williams isn’t regarded as a first-round pick by most NFL scouts and analysts, but he’s widely expected to be an early-to-mid second-round pick. At the very least, he’ll probably go early in the third round.
ESPN’s Mel Kiper ranks Williams as the sixth-best defensive tackle prospect in the 2025 NFL Draft. Williams is 37th on Pro Football Focus’ current NFL Draft Big Board, too.
Teams are always looking for more pass rushers in an era dominated by quarterbacks and the passing game. Williams may not go in round one, but it’d be a surprise if he was still available after the top 50 draft picks.
