Jason Kelce Makes Decision on Eagles Super Bowl Parade

If there’s anyone who’s had his foot in both camps throughout before and after the noise of Super Bowl LIX, it’s former Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce.

The recent retiree watched his brother, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, fall to his former team in a 40-22 routing.

Kelce had made statements to remain Switzerland on the conflicting matchup leading up to Sunday.

“I’m rooting for Philadelphia and I’m rooting for Travis Kelce. That’s the reality of it,” Kelce said on the “New Heights” podcast prior to Super Bowl LIX. “No matter what, on game day I’m going to be happy for one of those sides and I’m going to be sad for the other side.”

Kelce confirmed on 94 WIP Sportsradio that he will be joining the Eagles for their celebrations in the streets of Philadelphia.

“I’m immensely happy for all of the Eagles on this year’s team. Guys that I played with… guys that I played for… people I was in that building with. I still go into that building, non-stop,” Kelce said on Thursday. “I’m immensely happy for this city and the celebration they’re gonna get.

As the game unfolded heavily in favor of the Eagles, Kelce said that he had difficulty fully committing to feelings of happiness for the Eagles given his brother’s fate.

Listen, obviously, I was torn at times during the game because my brother was on the other team, but the reality is I was not rooting for one or the other.

“There were so many people I care about with the Eagles organization and I also care about my brother, and that was difficult at times to manage — especially with the way the game went and how hard obviously I was feeling for him. But I love this city and I love this freakin’ team.”
