Multiple Chiefs players are getting in the zone for their Super Bowl matchup vs. the Eagles in a surprising way

Jan 18, 2025; Kansas City, Missouri, USA; Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce (87) celebrates with tight end Noah Gray (83) after making a long pass reception against the Houston Texans during the second quarter of a 2025 AFC divisional round game at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium.

Anyone who’s played organized sports knows how important it is to find ways to get yourself in the zone in the days leading up to the event.

It seems that it doesn’t go away, no matter the level of sports. Multiple members of the Kansas City Chiefs have taken up quite the hobby as they wait for the Super Bowl on Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles.

For one, I logged many hours on Catan during my college years. And I fully understand how multiple Chiefs players are getting so competitive if they have played multiple games this past week. The next time we get to hear from many of these players will probably not come till after the Super Bowl, and questions will obviously be focused on the result of the game on Sunday.

You love seeing so many of the guys getting their competitive juices going with this Catan rivalry. And while this may not have any real effect on their play on the field Sunday, I would be lying if I said I’m not interested and, at this point, invested in knowing if Justin Watson and/or Cole Christiansen were able to get in the win column on the Catan board. This seems like something players will hold over each other’s heads all offseason long, no matter who wins the Super Bowl.
