Social Media Has No Chill As Someone Roasted Giants QB Russell Wilson With A Brutal Edit From His Trip To MSG

Social media had a field day poking fun at New York Giants quarterback Russell Wilson following his appearance at Madison Square Garden for the New York Knicks-Los Angeles Clippers game on Wednesday night.

On Tuesday, news emerged that the Giants signed Wilson to a one-year contract worth $10.5 million guaranteed, though the 10-time Pro Bowler can make up to $21 million. His addition comes days after the team handed 2015 first overall pick Jameis Winston a two-year deal worth $8 million.

One day after signing his contract with the Giants, Russell Wilson wasted no time making his first public appearance with the club. The Knicks posted a video of Wilson signing a football and throwing it into the crowd for a lucky fan to snag:

But someone decided to mock Wilson by editing the video into something far more humorous. They combined Wilson’s football toss at MSG with the pick-six he threw to Marlon Humphrey in the Pittsburgh Steelers’ Week 16 road game against the Baltimore Ravens.

Someone give this fan an Oscar for their beautiful editing job:

Social media did not disappoint with the responses to this video, either.

“🤣 brutal,” wrote a user.

“not the pick 6,” one fan said.

“That’s Mr. Unlimited. 😂😂 unlimited interceptions,” wrote another.

“The Ravens superbowl 🤣,” joked a fan.

“Would have been better if it was Malcolm Butler,” wrote a user.

“I hope he does well with the Giants. 😂,” quipped another.

Wilson missed the Steelers’ first six games last season recovering from a calf injury. He went 6-1 to begin his tenure in Steel City, only to implode with four straight regular-season losses before Pittsburgh fell 28-14 to the Baltimore Ravens on Wild Card Weekend.

Russell Wilson Could Actually Work Out For The Giants

It’s easy to mock Wilson and the Giants as a match, but the 36-year-old could actually fit in Brian Daboll’s offense. He has a superstar wide receiver in Malik Nabers, a decent No. 2 in Darius Slayton and promising running back Tyrone Tracy Jr.

If Daboll could get the Giants to the playoffs with Daniel Jones in 2022, of course he could work some magic with Wilson. And if it doesn’t pan out? It was a one-year deal with zero risks attached.
