“Jelly told me I’d feel completely at home with his fans. And he’s absolutely right,” the singer shared.

Ashley McBryde is officially on the road with Jelly Roll, serving as an opening act on his massive Backroad Baptism Tour. While she’s only appeared on a few dates so far, the songstress reveals she’s already feeling the love from both fans and Jelly Roll’s team behind the scenes.
The artists most recently made a stop in Kansas City, MO on August 26 where they performed downtown at the T-Mobile Center. Following the sold-out show, McBryde took to social media to share a slideshow of photos captured during Jelly Roll’s set when she joined him on stage to perform a soulful rendition of Lynyrd Skynyrd’s “Simple Man.” It appears that this collaborative performance has become a regular part of the show for Jelly Roll and McBryde.
Heartfelt Post
The images shared to McBryde’s Instagram were paired with a heartfelt caption that read, “Jelly told me I’d feel completely at home with his fans. And he’s absolutely right. Kansas City you brought the JOY that’s for sure.”
She went on to say that the love extends beyond the stage as her crew and Jelly Roll’s team members continue to bond throughout this journey together.
“The amount of mutual love and adoration these camps have for one another is tangible in the entire building at each show. #BackroadBaptism all the way,” McBryde wrote in conclusion.
Jelly Roll started off delivering the tune on his own before welcoming the Grammy-award-winning country star to the stage to help him finish it out. In a video captured by a fan, he was seen stepping away from the mic momentarily to allow McBryde to shine as she belted out the lyrics and connected with his fanbase who sang the classic song right along with her.
Duet On Stage
The “Need A Favor” singer later shared his own highlight reel from the Kansas City concert, as he’s done for every stop on this tour so far.
He wrote, “Show 19/44 of the Backroad Baptism Tour was sold out in Kansas City. Unreal night with friends and family in a city I hold near to my heart.”
On The Road
Following her run with Jelly Roll, Ashley McBryde will embark on her own headlining tour named after her upcoming album,The Devil I Know,
Presented by Ariat, the 30-date trek kicks off Oct. 7 in Mobile, AL, and will continue with stops in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Tennessee, Ontario, New York, and more before she makes her return to the U.K. next January.
McBryde will be joined by special guests Corey Kent, Bella White, Harper O’Neill, Kasey Tyndall, Will Jones, and Zach Top on select dates.
Taking to social media to share the news, McBryde wrote, “About time this devil hits the road for a proper run of shows… The Devil I Know Tour presented by @ariatinternational kicks off in the states this October, then we’re finally headed back to the UK! AND, I’m bringing a few friends with me along the way. Y’all… I can’t wait for this one.”
New Album Coming Soon
This announcement follows a string of releases from McBryde including “Learned To Lie,” “Made for This,” her current single that’s climbing the charts in the top 25, “Light On In The Kitchen” and “Cool Little Bars.”
As McBryde’s latest drop, “Cool Little Bars” pays tribute to the dives, holes in the wall and local establishments that welcomed her in the early days of her career.
Throughout the song, McBryde romanticizes all the quirks and traditions that live within the walls of each of these bars, showcasing what makes them unique and special to the world. She puts her stunning vocals on display through the lyrics that clearly paint a picture of the places that have become a second home to many locals, visitors and artists like herself.

“As y’all know, I have a huge appreciation for bars that have stood the test of time and have a lot of character,” McBryde shared via press release. “I played them for many, many years, and I’m proud of the education I gained, and I’m proud to be able to give such bars credit for my entertainment style.”
Co-written by McBryde alongside Lainey Wilson and Trick Savage, “Cool Little Bars” finds the Arkansas native revisiting her roots as she unleashes a tinge of nostalgic grit in her voice and a whole lot of stripped-down authenticity.
Fans will get to hear each of these new tunes and more on the entire 11-track collection when it drops on September 8 via Warner Music.
In addition to touring with Jelly Roll and her own run of headlining shows, Ashley McBryde has been tapped to serve as support on select tour dates with Dierks Bentley.
She is next scheduled to perform at the Georgia Country Music Festival 2023 in Marietta, GA on September 2.
