Willie Nelson Goes Into The Cookbook Business

Holding the spotlight for several decades, Nelson continues to expand his legacy as he released his latest album Last Leaf on the Tree just last year. But his legacy went far beyond just music as he teamed up with his wife, Annie D’Angelo, to write a cookbook surrounding cannabis.

For any fan of Nelson, they know the singer not only loved marijuana but spent decades speaking about its medical benefits. Discussing how the book came about, D’Angelo said, “Willie got pneumonia, and he couldn’t smoke because he had emphysema. But he has night terrors, and [marijuana] really helps. So I had to figure out how to make something that he could ingest. And then it started from there.”

Going beyond just helping write the book, Nelson revealed his favorite dish happened to be applewood-smoked bacon with a side of sweet potato hash and eggs.
