Justin Bieber and Jaden Smith’s heartwarming moment, where Bieber kissed Smith, sparks scrutiny amid Sean “Diddy” Combs controversy.

While the Diddy controversy continues to rage on with no end in sight in the near future as of now, a lot of reports about his alleged victims are popping up to make his image even worse than before. This includes reports about Justin Bieber and Jaden Smith as well, both of whom have been earning a lot of limelight ever since Sean Combs’ scandal blew up.

One of these very reports comes from earlier this year in April, when the annual Coachella Music Festival 2024 was held at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California. During this event, Bieber and Smith were seen embracing in a heartwarming moment as the former landed a smooch on the latter’s face, and now those clips are resurfacing amidst Combs’ controversy.

While this year’s Coachella saw a lot of artists – old and new – giving some of the best performances of their lives, it also brought about a rather rare moment as Justin Bieber and Jaden shared backstage bromance caught on cam. After being reunited with his long-time pal, the Yummy singer didn’t hesitate to land a smooch on his cheek.

In the clip, which has been gaining a lot of attention as of late amidst the Diddy controversy, Bieber is seen seemingly vibing as Smith sneaked in from behind him and wrapped his hands around his waist, giving him a sort of back hug. As soon as the Beauty and a Beat singer realized who it was, Jaden stepped in front of him with his arm still wrapped around Bieber’s neck.

That’s when Bieber unhesitantly took it to the next level to show his love for the 26-year-old singer, who he initially collaborated with back in 2010 for their all-time best Never Say Never. With Jaden Smith still holding him in somewhat of a half-hug, the 30-year-old singer went on to kiss his pal on his cheek before the two pulled away (see the clip shared by ET below).

Of course, this clip made rounds on the internet as soon as it was released as fans shared their responses to this heartwarming moment between the two. However, this very video is resurfacing in the wrong light now that more and more details keep popping up about Combs’ alleged misconduct with both Bieber and Jaden during the start of their respective careers as youngsters.

On the one hand, a lot of netizens seem to be seeing this clip with scrutiny as they point out how “gay” this entire moment between the Icon singer and the STAY singer seems, and that it further stands as a testimony to the crimes Sean Combs has been alleged of (check ET’s clip’s comments). On the other hand, excerpts of the pair’s comments on each other seem to hint otherwise.

As shared in the video by Entertainment Tonight, Bieber said about Smith: “I’ve gotten to a place where I have, like, a core group and people who are really supporting me and encouraging me. I never had that before. I never created those types of relationships, so now it feels like I have so much.”

Meanwhile, Jaden’s words on whom he claims to be “a brother to me” were: “I love Justin Bieber. That’s just a fact. Honestly, I just love him, like, what he’s doing. The amount of change he’s been able to make in the world is just insane. Life is hard. We all go through things. But the difference between other people is that no one knows about it. It’s really difficult for people like Justin, for me, for all types of people in the limelight.”

Had these comments been made otherwise, fans would have just seen these as kind words that both Bieber and Smith had for each other for all the love and support they were able to lend to each other through the growing parts of their career.

However, amidst the Diddy scandal, even these comments are being put under intense scrutiny and speculation, further posing a threat to Combs’ already nearly entirely disgraced reputation.
