Blake Shelton & Gwen Stefani’s Unexpected Bar Serenade Stuns Fans into Silence and Sparks a Frenzy!

The two The Voice alums performed together at Shelton’s Ole Red bar in Tishomingo, Oklahoma.

Blake Shelton gave fans an epic surprise during his show at his Ole Red bar and restaurant in Tishomingo, Oklahoma on August 11. Attendees were wowed when his wife, Gwen Stefani, took the stage with him to perform several songs, including a No Doubt, classic: “Don’t Speak.” And it was, hands down, their most stripped-down, intimate live set to date.

Stefani stunned in a bomber jacket, camo pants, and white cowboy boots. The stage was teeny-tiny, and the setup was casual, with Shelton strumming the guitar on a stool. To see these two mega-celebrities perform in such a low-key way was obviously a thrill for the patrons. And it was clearly thrilling for Stefani and Shelton, too, who appeared to have a blast the whole way through.

As soon as Shelton began playing the opening notes to “Don’t Speak,” the crowd went absolutely wild, recognizing the tune instantly. (The track is from No Doubt’s 1996 album Tragic Kingdom.)

Before the performance began, Stefani adorably wrapped her arms around Shelton. She then grabbed the microphone and sang the opening lyrics while looking into his eyes. When the chorus hit, she engaged the audience and sang with pure passion. She slowed things down for the outro, ad-libbing some sustained notes before gently touching Shelton on the face.

That wasn’t the only exciting event that took place at Ole Red that night. Stefani’s 17-year-old son, Kingston Rossdale, showed off his vocal chops with an awesome solo performance, as well.

“Love you guys, thank you for being here!” Rossdale said after wrapping his set. “Thank you, it means everything to me, really. I hope you guys had a great night; enjoy yourselves!”

Then, in a sweet moment, stepdad Shelton walked up onstage and gave him a hug.

After a whopping 23 seasons, Shelton stepped down from being a Coach on The Voice this May. Per an interview with Access, Shelton said that being a stepfather to Stefani’s three children, Kingston, Zuma, and Apollo, was a driving reason for this choice.

“I think the only way for me to really do that right is to step away from being committed to something like The Voice that demands a lot of your time. There’s no way around it. If you’re going to do it and do it right, you have to be 150 percent in. And I just feel like those days are behind me for now. I got a more important job,” he said.

“I think being a stepdad has changed my perspective in that I’m not the first person that I think about anymore,” Shelton also told Access, “Even to the small little things when you go, ‘I think I’ll do this,’ the very next thought is always, ‘Well, wait a minute. How’s that going work?’ Or, ‘What will they think?’ Or, ‘How will that affect a schedule?’”
