Back in 2011, country music singer Scotty McCreery was on cloud nine when he gave an incredible CMA performance with his idol Josh Turner. Seeing that McCreery admits to listening to Turner while growing up, we now have an answer to who inspired that deep, velvety voice that McCreery shocked Idol judges and fans with!

With a striking resemblance in vocal sound, these two powerhouse singers brought down the event, giving one hell of a performance to Turner’s hit song “Your Man”. Having the time of his life, McCreery is all smiles as he shares an energetic and talented performance with the country music star!

Before the performance McCreery had this to say to reporters asking how he was handling the exciting night!

“I definitely get nervous when I go out on stage, especially when when it’s such a big venue like the stadium we’re about to play right now. I can’t wait to get up there and sing with Josh Turner. I mean, this is something I’ve dreamed about for a long time and he’s been one of my idols growing up, so this is going to be a lot of fun.”
