George Strait and Chris Stapleton took the stage for All My Ex’s Live in Texas, and it was nothing short of legendary. The moment their voices intertwined, you could feel the magic—two country powerhouses, side by side, feeding off each other’s energy. George, the King of Country himself, looked just as thrilled to share the stage with Chris as Chris was to be standing next to a living legend. And let’s be real—at one point, George gave Chris that look, the one that said, Dang, boy, you’re making me work for this! Chris belted out the classic so flawlessly, you’d almost think he owned it. Almost.

In case you missed it, King George is back…

This week, George Strait announced a run of 5 stadium shows this summer, and here’s the kicker… Chris Stapleton is coming with him.

In what’s becoming something of a tradition, Strait and Stapleton will be teaming up with Parker McCollum and Little Big Town for shows in Philadelphia, Pittsburg, Buffalo, Foxborough, and Inglewood, California.

During last year’s run, Strait actual set the record for largest single ticketed concert in US history, bringing in 110,905 fans for his show at Texas A&M’s Kyle Field.

As you probably know, George Strait isn’t as young as he once was (but still looking and sounding incredible for a 72 year old) so he’s taken a step back in touring in recent years, but the pull of the road still beats in that cowboy heart of his:

“I keep trying to slow down a bit but you keep calling me back. Please don’t ever stop. I still love it just as much as I always have. Thank you for an amazing year last year and I can’t wait to see you for a few more again this year.

Chris will be back and glad to have Little Big Town with us in LA. For the other cities, we’ve added Parker M. to the show which will be outstanding. Can’t wait to see you!!”

I wasn’t able to get to one of these shows last time around but I think I see a night in Philly or Pittsburgh in my future… Everyone who went said it was a magical night and we really don’t know how many more opportunities there will be to see The King before he actually rides off into the sunset.

Tickets go on sale to the general public on February 21st, so be sure to bookmark Vivid Seats and grab tickets there when they’re available. It’s the only platform that sends you to a free concert just for, well, going to concerts. Pretty sweet deal if I say so myself…

If you needed one more reason to go, just imagine how special it would be to see Strait and Stapleton share the stage, which they’ve done a few times throughout the years but one performance I constantly go back to is from the Hand In Hand telethon a few years back to raise money for victims of the horrific hurricanes that rampaged through Texas, Louisiana, Puerto Rico, and the Bahamas. They ended up raising $44 million dollars, which is truly a staggering amount.

While the entire night was incredible (there’s plenty of videos out there for your to go see) when Strait and Stapleton played “All My Ex’s Live In Texas” it came together in what can only be described as a magical moment.

The smiles on both their faces, the look of respect Chris has for George, the admiration shown right back to Stapleton from the King, to have been in that room must have been one of the most surreal moments for everyone involved.

Make sure you get your tickets for this run of stadium shows because they’re going to sell fast…
