Gwen Stefani made a surprise appearance at Coastal Country Jam, joining her husband, Blake Shelton, for a special duet during his headlining performance on Saturday, September 16 at Long Beach’s Marina Green Park in Long Beach, California.

The magical moment began with Shelton strumming a few chords from Lynyrd Skynyrd’s “Sweet Home Alabama,” teasing the audience by letting them think he was going to perform a cover of the Skynyrd hit. Then, without warning, the music seamlessly transitioned into No Doubt’s iconic hit, “Don’t Speak.”

“You know I had to bring out the queen, Gwen Stefani, for this night,” Shelton told the crowd as Stefani entered the stage, donning an animal print mini-skirt, to a thunderous applause. Together, the lovebirds went on to perform the classic GRAMMY-nominated track by No Doubt.

Proving the song is a massive hit and a fan-favorite among music fans, the crowd enthusiastically sang along to every word of the tune’s chorus.

“Don’t speak/ I know just what you’re sayin’/ So please stop explainin’/ Don’t tell me ’cause it hurts/ Don’t speak/ I know just what you’re thinkin’/ I don’t need your reasons/ Don’t tell me ’cause it hurts,” Stefani and the audience sang in sync.

Following their impressive performance of their duets, Shelton and Stefani shared a kiss and Stefani quickly exited the stage. “Everybody, Gwen Shelton, my wife,” Shelton exclaimed.

Blake Shelton also performed some of his biggest hits during his set such as “Sangria,” “Honey Bee” and “God’s Country.” The performance marked Shelton’s first time in Long Beach.
