Night 1 of The Voice finale ends with some standout performances and Snoop Dogg tears

“That’s the way to do the finale!” Gwen Stefani said.

The Voice finale performance show was a toast to season 26, so it was fitting that Snoop Dogg’s friend Martha Stewart was on hand offering the coaches cups of her boozy eggnog.

Snoop and fellow coaches Michael Bublé, Reba McEntire, and Gwen Stefani watched with pride as their last remaining artists (Bublé has two, the others have one each) took the mic for an uptempo song and a ballad.

And Snoop was emotional, as he has been all season, when his finalist Jeremy Beloate sang “What the World Needs Now” by Jackie DeShannon. There were tears rolling down his face.

Before he performed, Beloate joked to the camera that he was “like the new Martha Stewart if she sang” because, he said, he and the rapper are an “odd” pairing.

“Music is not always about how it sounds. It’s about how it makes you feel,” Snoop said.

Bublé told the contestant that he and Snoop would be there for his first night on Broadway.

His second choice, Calum Scott’s “Dancing On My Own” left Stefani speechless.

“It’s hard to say something after that,” the No Doubt singer said. She added that it’s “so powerful what you do. It’s so perfect.”

And yet, America has a tough decision, because the other singers — Team Bublé’s Shye and Sofronio Vasquez, Team Reba’s Danny Joseph, and Team Gwen’s Sydney Sterlace — were all impressive.

A few of the standouts:

Shye’s take on “Falling” by Harry Styles prompted Snoop to unofficially offer the member of Team Bublé a record deal: “You are so exceptional at singing,” he said. “I look forward to seeing you make a real record in 2025, hopefully with my label.”

Joseph performed “Ain’t No Love in Oklahoma” by Luke Combs, which caused Coach Gwen to quip, “That’s the way to do the finale!”

When Stefani’s contestant Sterlace sang Gracie Abrams’ “I Love You, I’m Sorry,” it was Snoop who had the highest compliment for the 16-year-old: “Syd the kid, you grew up tonight!”

Last but not least, Vasquez sang “Unstoppable” by Sia, which made McEntire declare him an “unstoppable” artist.

Bublé was even more effusive, calling him a superhero.

“What the hell?” he said. “I’m gonna have to go suck on lemons so I can stop smiling.”

Voting for the winner of the show will remain open overnight and close at 7 a.m. ET/6 a.m. CT/4 a.m. PT. One vote per email address, per voting method can be cast the show’s official website or through the app.

The results will be unveiled during Tuesday’s show, which begins at 9 p.m. ET/PT and 8 p.m. CT. Along with the unveiling of the winner, the last show of the season will feature performances from Kelly “Underneath the Tree” Clarkson debuting her new holiday single, “You for Christmas,” as well as Mega Mentor Sting duetting with Snoop, Dan + Shay, and more.
