Judged and coached by country star Reba McEntire, rapping sensation Snoop Dogg, music icon Gwen Stefani, and Christmas crooner Michael Bublé, the show was watched by the masses.
Singing a solo song to show off their talent, each of the eight singers then performed a second track, but this time with Sting.
However, viewers were up in arms over the way in which the show played out on screen, with many people sharing the same complaint over how the show sounded through their television sets.
Taking to social media to air their complaints, viewers of the hit singing competition were quick to agree that the show was “so loud” and impacted the way in which they heard the singers.
“#thevoice Why tf this ‘background’ music so loud? I can’t even hear the singers,” said one person on X.
Another person then echoed, “They always have the music way too loud during the lives for whatever reason. So loud I couldn’t even hear Carson taking us to commercials.. ”
While a third said, “The audio is awful on the show tonight. All you ca\n hear is echo and background music.”
Meanwhile, on Reddit, fans of the show were quick to agree with what people were saying on X, with some even pointing out how this isn’t a new issue.
“Maybe I need a new tv, I’m also kind of grateful because I’m not enjoying the singers, but I also can’t hear them sing. Turn up the mics,” penned one person, who also asked if the production team was sleeping.
‘IT HAPPENS EVERY SEASON’
“Happens every season for some reason,” commented one fellow Reddit user.
“The Voice is always like that. I have to max my speakers to hear. Every other show I have the volume at like 60%,” said another.
A third person then commented, “The band is so loud OR the singers are so bad they are covering them up. Annoying that the background drowns the voices.”
RESULT PENDING
This comes as the general public will now have their say, with the viewers’ vote taking place right now ahead of tonight’s show.
In tonight’s episode, four of the final eight will be crowned as the top four, while the remaining four will be the winners of this season’s Instant Save.
