It’s not clear if Tyler Maine will reprise his role or if it has been recast.

Though he was not pictured, it’s been claimed that Creed’s fellow Brotherhood member, Toad, was also spotted on set.

Filming took place on a UK beach as Ryan and Hugh shot an epic fight scene in their iconic Marvel character costumes.

Hugh first appeared as Wolverine in the 2000 movie X-Men, and went on to play him in various sequels and spin-offs until 2017.

He last stepped into the shoes and claws of Wolverine in Logan five years ago.

Hugh, 54, was back in his yellow Wolverine costume while Ryan was covered up in his Deadpool mask.

Production on the action blockbuster commenced in May in the UK but ceased because of the Hollywood actors’ strike. Filming resumed earlier this month in Vancouver, Canada.

It was believed production for the third Deadpool film has shifted to the UK so Ryan could manage his commitments with his team Wrexham FC.

In the third film, Deadpool will use Cable’s time travel machine to save Wolverine before his death in 2029 and they will end up lost in the Multiverse.

While they are in the Multiverse they will be pursued by Mobius, who has access to time-travel technology.

Among those set to star in the film is The Crown’s Emma Corrin, who will play a villain in the blockbuster.

Ryan tweeted: ‘New addition to the family! The Deadpool family, for clarity. Which is just like a real family except with less swearing… Welcome, Emma Corrin!’

The day after Ryan announced that Hugh would return as the late Wolverine, the pair sat down for a faux fan Q&A.

‘I had a lot of questions. I’m sure you had a lot of questions. But rest assured, we’re going to answer them right now,’ Hugh promised.

‘Like, for example, how is Wolverine alive after Logan?’

Ryan clarified that Logan was set in 2029 and it was a ‘totally separate thing’ – hinting it might involve the MCU multi-verse.

‘Logan died in Logan. Not touching that,’ Ryan stated. ‘What actually happens in our film is these two f***ing guys get out there and just like…’

At that point, Ryan and Hugh’s words were drowned out by the sound of Wham!’s 1984 hit song Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go.

Ryan and Hugh’s characters Wade Wilson and Logan already battled in Gavin Hood’s 2009 movie X-Men Origins: Wolverine, which earned $373.1M at the box office despite dismal reviews.

When audiences last saw Wolverine, who’s healing powers were diminished, he had been stabbed in the heart and impaled by a branch by his evil clone X-24 in the 2017 film Logan.

Logan’s mutant daughter Laura and the other Transigen children then buried him beneath a wooden X to honour his time with the X-Men.

Upon seeing the video, Logan director James Mangold tweeted: ‘Oh my gosh! Everybody chill. Just kidding! I’m all good! Logan will always be there.

‘Multiverse or prequel, time warp or worm hole, canon or non-canon or even without a rationale, I cannot wait to see what madness my dear friends Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman cook up!’

It comes after it was reported Jennifer Garner will reprise her role of Elektra for upcoming blockbuster Deadpool 3.

The US actress first played the Marvel Comics’ assassin 20 years prior in the 2003 film Daredevil, opposite her former husband Ben Affleck.

She later starred in her own spinoff film, titled Elektra, in 2005, which did not enjoy success at the box office.

According to multiple US outlets, Jennifer will return to the role for the third instalment of Ryan Reynolds’ popular antihero franchise, which is due to arrive in 2024.

The pair previously worked together on Netflix’s 2022 film The Adam Project, helmed by Shawn Levy, who will also direct Deadpool 3.

Hugh has played the Marvel character Wolverine in eight X-Men films from 2000 until 2016, and was last seen in the role in standalone movie Logan in 2017.

He made a brief appearance in the second Deadpool instalment, but had previously ruled out the chance of a crossover film between his character and Ryan’s unlikely superhero.

The surprise announcement was made by the pair in September last year, with Ryan later assuring fans that the project was being undertaken in a ‘Hugh Jackman approved’ way.
