Halle Berry reveals truth behind Deadpool & Wolverine rumors and it  involves Blake Lively

Halle Berry addressed rumors about her being part of the cast of the blockbuster superhero movie Deadpool & Wolverine on Monday during a talk show visit.

The 58-year-old Oscar-winning actress while wearing a red hot, form-fitting midi dress with a scallop neckline appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live on ABC to promote her survival horror thriller Never Let Go.

Jimmy, 56, broached the superhero subject after Halle shared a story about the time late legendary musician Prince asked her out on a date while he was performing at the Key Club in Hollywood.

‘I do want to ask you about one very nerdy rumor, because you played Storm in X-Men. And now this is part of the Marvel Universe, you know. I’d heard that you were maybe possibly going to be in Deadpool & Wolverine,’ Jimmy said.

‘I heard that, too,’ Halle said with a chuckle.

‘And who did you hear that from?,’ Jimmy asked.

‘I heard that from …let’s see. I was at a Michael Kors fashion show and Blake, Ryan’s wife asked me,’ Halle said referencing Deadpool actor Ryan Reynolds and his actress wife Blake Lively, who cameoed in Deadpool & Wolverine.

Halle continued recounting their conversation and revealed that Blake asked her, ‘If Ryan asked you to be in Deadpool, would you?’

‘And you said?,’ Jimmy asked.

‘I said, well, ”Duh, of course I would”,’ Halle said.

‘But they never called me,’ Halle then admitted while laughing.

‘Thanks a lot Ryan and Hugh. Yeah, they didn’t call me,’ she added playfully referencing Wolverine actor Hugh Jackman, 55.

Halle played the Marvel Comics superhero Storm who has the ability to control weather in four installments of the X-Men film series that also starred Hugh.
