Rita Ora struggled to get through a performance of For You, the song she had with Liam Payne, at a concert in Japan last night.

The pop star earlier said she was “devastated” by the news of Payne’s death in Argentina (see 15.40 post).

Around 12 hours after the news broke, Ora was on stage in Osaka, Japan, where she struggled to finish the duet, which she released with Payne in 2018.

During the performance, a picture of Payne and Ora was displayed on the big screen behind her.

In footage posted online, the singer is seen holding her head in her hands before saying: “I can’t even sing this right now.”
