Ryan Reynolds Hilariously Confronts Blake Lively’s Costar Brandon Sklenar Over “Suggestive” Photo
Ryan Reynolds moved on from trolling wife Blake Lively to trolling her It Ends With Us costar Brandon Sklenar, even enlisting the help of his mother Tammy Reynolds and his best friend Hugh Jackman.
Ryan Reynolds is giving maximum effort when it comes to wife Blake Lively‘s new film.
The Deadpool & Wolverine actor has moved on from promoting his latest Marvel movie to focusing on Blake’s upcoming It Ends With Us. And there was no better place to start than by trolling her costar, Brandon Sklenar.
“This is cool,” Ryan said while surprising the 1923 actor during a press junket in a video posted Aug. 6. “It’s not everyday the husband gets to interview his wife’s love interest in a film—it’s kinda crazy.”
Brandon seemingly felt a tad bit uncomfortable with his new interviewer, especially when the Proposal star pulled out a photo of the 34-year-old and Blake—with whom Ryan shares daughters James, 9, Inez, 7, and Betty, 4, and son Olin.
“I saw you posing in a photo with Mrs. Reynolds,” Ryan continued. “I saw this photo, it was pretty suggestive.”
But of course nothing is at it seems with the Deadpool star, who then swapped in a photo of just Brandon, showing off his ample…ass-ets.

“How do you explain, THAT?” Ryan asked emphatically. “Is it genetics? You have some sort of low angle squat routine to pop that region in that way? I mean, what’s going on here man? Are you smuggling pumpkins? Got a couple of small pumpkins there? Jesus Christ, my heart is beating like crazy right now.”

But Ryan wasn’t the only one who got some questions in as Brandon was soon joined by none other than Blake’s “hottest plus one,” Ryan’s mom Tammy Reynolds.
“Well it’s not everyday the mother-in-law of the leading lady gets to interview the love interest,” she began. “And the man trying to replace my sweet little gummy bear Ryan.”
She continued, “Brandon, I saw the film. And may I say, you are incredible in this movie. On a scale from one to ‘I stop taking my blood thinner medication,’ because if I can’t have you, I don’t want me.”
The 34-year-old responded by advising Tammy to definitely keep taking her medication and confessing he was a little worried about her son.
And said son quickly jumped in, asking Brandon if he would be interested in being his new dad, joking that he “he could really use a man in his life. Hugh [Jackman] is no spring chicken anymore.”
Of course, the Greatest Showman star soon joined in on the interview himself.
“It’s not everyday a guy gets to interview the love interest of his best friend’s wife,” Hugh explained. “And the guy trying to replace Ryan as a husband and me as his best mate.”

And Hugh had one important question for Brandon: “What the hell are you doing messing with my best buddy’s wife?”
Admitting he had “no idea what’s happening” with the interview shakeups, Brandon wasn’t about to throw away his shot with a Tony award winner sitting right in front of him.
“I do have to say, while I have you here, your work in Les Mis, what a triumph,” he gushed. “I mean I am a huge fan. You can do it all—you’re a unicorn!”
And in the end, Brandon won over not only Ryan but Tammy and Hugh, with the latter joking, “I think we found the next Wolverine.”
While this is the first time Ryan has taking his trolling antics over to one of Blake’s costars, it’s hardly the first time the couple have poked fun at each other.

In an ad for his company Mint Mobile, Ryan asked for Blake to come out and talk about the brand’s family plan. However, a stand-in for the actress appeared instead.
As Lively joked on Instagram in July 2022, “Darling, if you charged more, you could afford me. Sorry, your real wife.” And when he claimed he was “revolutionizing the category,” she replied, “@vancityreynolds, my love, feel free to revolutionize the couch when you sleep on it tonight!!”
