As ‘It Ends With Us’ star Blake Lively continues to be under fire for her controversial promotions, TikTokers have begun to reveal their true thoughts about her new hair care line.
In early July, Lively, 36, launched her own brand Blake Brown that took her seven years to develop and is available exclusively at Target and her website.
The hair care line includes two kinds of shampoos, a dry shampoo and a hair mask among other things.
According to their description, the products leave ‘hair feeling manageable, soft and noticeably shiny’ and are ‘not formulated with SLS/SLES, silicones or parabens’.
But many reviewers have taken to the video-sharing app to share their experience of trying Blake Brown – with one revealing that the shampoo is being returned by most customers.

A TikToker named Kate Perry recently told her followers that a ‘cool teen working at the customer service desk at Target’ told her that everyone was coming back with their Blake Brown products.
‘This is a PSA—I just want everyone to know that the cool teen working at the customer service desk at Target told me that everyone’s been returning the Blake Brown haircare.
‘She said that s*** is not worth 20 bucks,’ she said.
After the video went viral and garnered nearly two million views, Perry went into detail about what had happened moments before the teen revealed the situation in another video.
‘I was returning something and I saw the bottle of shampoo on the counter and I was like oh can I smell that?? And she goes, “sure but everyone’s been returning it.”‘

Other TikTokers have also showed dissatisfaction with the product – most notably with its bulky packaging.
Emma Nacewicz, a reviewer and entrepreneur said that while the ‘packing is gorgeous, it’s not functional’.
‘First of all, it takes up a lot of room. It’s clunky. Then you have to use two hands to unscrew it, put the cap down, use both hands [to pour].
‘It’s not just a pump-and-go or squeeze-and-go. Honestly, having this top like this is beyond obnoxious,’ she told viewers while holding the shampoo in hand.
She also noted that as a ‘dry shampoo fan who has tried every single one’, the Blake Brown dry shampoo is not what it advertises itself as but rather is a ‘texturing shampoo’.
‘First of all, it doesn’t even make my hair un-greasy. All it does is make it tacky. It’s amazing as a texturing spray. But you have to wash your hair the next day because it is just stuck. It makes your hair like sticky,’ Nacewicz explained.

These reviews come as the Lively, who shot to fame as Serena van der Woodsen in Gossip Girl, is facing a growing backlash against apparently diva-style behavior caught on camera, as more and more toe-curling interviews surface from the internet’s archives.
Lively, who shares children James, Inez, Betty and Olin, with fellow A-lister Ryan Reynolds, first began to see her status as one half of Hollywood’s couple tarnish during her current press tour promoting her latest film, It Ends with Us.
While there’s been plenty of wholesome moments during the star’s recent press whirl – tearing up at meeting Spice Girl Emma Bunton at Heart FM and thanking Capital FM DJ Kemi Rodgers after she surprised her with a message from Reynolds, there have also been moments that have likely given the film’s PRs sleepless nights.
It Ends with Us, based on the book by Colleen Hoover, follows the story of Lily Bloom, played by Lively, who becomes embroiled in an abusive relationship with a man named Ryle Kincaid, portrayed by Justin Baldoni.
However the serious subject matter seemed to be the last thing on the minds of Lively and fellow cast members Jenny Slate and Isabela Ferrer, as they sat down for a Q&A with author Hoover to discuss the film in early August.

Branded ‘tone-deaf’, Lively has since faced intense scrutiny, with interviews continuing to surface showing behavior that has been branded ‘mean’ by some who’ve seen it
Those watching accused the quartet of appearing ‘light-hearted’; the four women giggled together as they discussed everything from their dream jobs to their zodiac signs but there was no mention of domestic violence during their chat.
Social media users were quick to slam them – particularly Lively, who hosted the interview – for partaking in the breezy questionnaire given the serious nature of the film, and for failing to speak about the topic.
She directed her followers to a series of links, which included a phone hotline for victims of domestic violence, as well as statistics and other information.
‘Everyone deserves relationships free of domestic violence,’ she wrote.
