Arizona Cardinals News
NFL Draft
The Super Bowl has officially concluded, marking the end of another tremendous NFL season. Teams are now shifting gears to the offseason, making plans for free agency and the upcoming 2025 NFL Draft.
The Arizona Cardinals were a resurgent team in 2024. Year two of Jonathan Gannon’s tenure saw the team turn things around into an 8-9 season that has fans feeling optimistic heading into Year three.
How can the Cardinals attack the 2025 NFL Draft to get them over that hump and put themselves in the playoffs?
Arizona Cardinals Post-Super Bowl 7-round 2025 NFL Mock Draft
Round 1, Pick 16: Mike Green, EDGE, Marshall
The Cardinals’ pass rush was fairly lackluster all season, failing to generate much pressure on opposing quarterbacks. While a healthy season from 2024 first-round pick Darius Robinson would likely help, this unit desperately needs more talent up front to turn their fledgling pass rush around.
Mike Green is a dynamite outside pass rusher whose quickness would add a difference-maker to Arizona’s pass rush corps.
Round 2, Pick 47: Carson Schwesinger, LB, UCLA
Arizona went through the 2024 season with one of the worst linebacker rooms in the NFL. To make that worse, their best linebacker, Kyzir White, is slated to be a free agent. Even if they re-sign him, the Cardinals need more talent in this room if they want to be serious on defense.
Carson Schwesinger is a fast riser with superb instincts, twitch, and tackling ability, making him one of the best linebackers in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Round 3, Pick 78: Joshua Farmer, DT, Florida State
We’re tripling down on improving Arizona’s front seven in the 2025 NFL Draft. The interior of their defensive line desperately needs more talent and production, especially against the run.
Joshua Farmer is a bull in a china shop up front, with great play strength and pad level that lets him take on double teams and stifle opposing rushing attacks. He’s been a hot name on the rise in the offseason.
Round 4, Pick 114: Tai Felton, WR, Maryland
Arizona’s wide receiver room is headlined by the talented Marvin Harrison Jr., but the rest of the room needs some more playmaking ability. Their passing game is lacking a consistent explosive threat on the perimeter.
Tai Felton is an intriguing option on Day 3 with his movement skills, after-the-catch ability, and route-running.
Round 5, Pick 153: Luke Kandra, G, Cincinnati
Will Hernandez is a pending free agent, but it seems likely that third-round pick from 2024 Isaiah Adams will take his spot in the lineup for the foreseeable future. However, the other guard spot is wide open for competition to find a starter.
Luke Kandra has played both guard spots in his career and could become a starter for the team in the future.
