In an interview with People during the bi-annual Children’s Hospital Los Angeles 2024 Gala, Curtis shared that it was fun reuniting with her old co-star on their much-anticipated film Freakier Friday. “The whole thing was fun, just from all areas of it,” mentioned the 65-year-old actress. Curtis, who is herself a mother of two, further talked about how “new mom” Lohan is dedicated to her responsibilities.

“She just loves it. It’s actually very hard to pull her away from mom mode,” added Curtis. She also mentioned that Lohan did not bring her son to the sets, but her husband and her son would come to pick her up from the shoot every day. The actress added, “Bader and Luai came and (would wait) for her in her trailer, and then they all go home together.”

Previously, the Freaky Friday co-stars Curtis and Lohan spoke to People during Disney’s D23 fan event showcase in Anaheim, California. When asked whom they would like to swap their bodies with, Lohan said, “Anyone? Maybe my baby. Just to see — because he is so pure and just so happy, just to see life through his eyes every day. He’s just this beautiful bundle of joy. I can’t think of anything else.” Meanwhile, Curtis said, “I wanna play basketball like Caitlin Clark.. She’s my lucky number, 22.”

In the upcoming movie Freakier Friday, Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan will reprise their roles as Tess Coleman and Anna Coleman, respectively. The sequel, directed by Nisha Ganatra, will take place years after the original story, where the mother-daughter duo accidentally swapped bodies after eating magic Chinese fortune cookies. In the sequel, Anna now has a daughter of her own and a soon-to-be stepdaughter. As the two families merge, they face challenges, and the mother-daughter pair discover that lightning might indeed strike twice. The film is scheduled to release sometime in 2025.

Speaking of Lindsay Lohan, the actress celebrated her son’s first birthday in July. To date, the 38-year-old actress has not shared any picture of her baby boy on social media. Hence, to commemorate this special occasion on her Instagram page, Lohan gave a sneak peek of the birthday decor. She shared the post with the caption, “Still reminiscing on this special day…Thank you for all the help in making it extra memorable!”
