In a recent interview for her new movie Irish Wish the beloved actress opened up about life with her son Luai, who she welcomed last year. “Right now he just loves being outside and taking walks, so I just try to get him outside as much as I can because he loves looking around,” Lohan said describing her daily routine to People. “He’s ripping my hair out now, so that’s the new thing,” she added. “He pulls my baby hairs too, so I have bald spots.”

Despite the bald spots, Lohan does seem to believe that baby Luai has had a positive effective on her overall body image, acknowleging that she’s been so busy with him its been hard to worry about “bouncing back” postpartum. “I was so attached to [Luai] that my last thought was going on a treadmill. I feel like we put so much pressure on ourselves to have to look ‘good’ so soon, but you look so beautiful [postpartum]. Give yourself time,” she told Bustle. “Everyone’s getting so thin now. I feel like everything always comes full circle again, so this is that moment, and this, too, shall pass. But it does seem like there’s pressure,” she said.

This isn’t the first time Lohan has loudly proclaimed her love for her postpartum body. In her first post since the birth of Luai, Lohan gratefully reflected on her pregnancy. “I am so proud of what this body was able to accomplish during these months of pregnancy and now, recovery. Having a baby is the greatest joy in the world,” Lohan captioned her unfiltered selfie.

Along with thousands of friends and fans who complimented Lohan on her postpartum celebration, her mother, Dina Lohan, also sent her encouragement and well wishes. “You look beautiful with a mommy’s glow,” she wrote. “He is so gorgeous and such a beautiful gift to us all …what a beautiful thing I saw as you and our lil blessing bonded…miracles happen my love.”

Lohan and her financier husband, Bader Shammas, welcomed their son Luai in July 2023. “The family is over the moon in love,” a representative for the couple told PEOPLE.

Born in Dubai, Luai is an Arabic name and typically means “shield or protector” or “strong and steady.” Outside of their baby boy’s name and arrival, Lohan and Shammas have been tight-lipped about their newborn’s exact date of birth and have yet to share any photos.

Lohan initially broke the big news on March 14 that she and Shammas were expecting. “We are blessed and excited,” Lohan captioned an Instagram photo of a white onesie with the words “Coming Soon” written on it.
