P Diddy is awaiting trial as he faces charges of sex trafficking and racketeering, which he has denied and pled not guilty to, with the rapper also set to face fresh civil lawsuits
Sean ‘P Diddy’ Combs has been accused of sexually assaulting a woman before “directing another gentleman to sexually assault her”.
The 54-year-old rapper, who is currently awaiting federal trial for charges of sex trafficking and racketeering, is set to be hit with another civil sexual assault lawsuit, according to attorney Ariel Mitchell-Kidd. The attorney said she is representing a new client who alleges she was sexually assaulted by Combs in 2018.
Mitchell-Kidd said her client is planning to file a lawsuit against Combs. The alleged victim, who has not been publicly identified, filed a police report after the incident, which did not lead to criminal charges.
The new lawsuit comes after Combs was indicted on charges of racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion, and transportation to engage in prostitution. He has denied these charges against him and pled not guilty in court. The rapper is yet to comment on the new lawsuit being brought by Mitchell-Kidd’s client.
“She reached out to me a few weeks ago. She called me and told me about her assault and her escape,” Mitchell-Kidd told NewsNation’s Laura Ingle. “She was at a friend’s house who had industry ties, and Diddy decided to come to the house.”
Mitchell-Kidd then claimed her client “started to feel woozy” after having a drink while at the house. She alleged: “Combs sexually assaulted her with an inanimate object.”
The attorney further alleged Combs then “directed another gentleman to sexually assault her while he watched and pleasured himself”. The alleged victim claimed to have escaped onto the street, which Mitchell-Kidd said was witnessed by a neighbor. The Mirror US has approached Combs’ representatives for comment.
The latest claim comes as Diddy is facing the possibility of more legal trouble as attorney Tony Buzbee said 120 people are planning to sue the disgraced music mogul. Buzbee, who is leading the lawsuits, said the individuals involved allege Diddy exploited them and sexually abused them.
Of the 120 individuals preparing to sue Diddy, 25 were minors at the time of the alleged abuse, their lawyer says. Diddy’s attorney Erica Wolff has released a statement in response to Buzbee as she denied the allegations.
Wolff said: “As Mr Combs’ legal team has emphasized, he cannot address every meritless allegation in what has become a reckless media circus. That said, Mr Combs emphatically and categorically denies as false and defamatory any claim that he sexually abused anyone, including minors.”
She continued: “He looks forward to proving his innocence and vindicating himself in court, where the truth will be established based on evidence, not speculation.” Combs is currently being held in Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center as he awaits trial.
