The Voice season 26 finalist Jeremy Beloate’s heartfelt Blind Audition performance of Giveon’s “Heartbreak Anniversary” earned the Memphis native a couple of notches in his belt. He clinched a sought-after four-chair turn and brought coach Reba McEntire to tears. Initially selecting Michael Bublé as his coach, Beloate landed on Team Snoop after losing the three-way Knockout round to fellow finalist Sofronio Vasquez. Now the season is drawing to a close, with Beloate among the Top 5 finalist left to slug it out for the crown. And his performance during Monday’s (Dec. 9) finale episode further demonstrated why the 25-year-old is at the top of so many viewers’ lists.
Jeremy Beloate Could Win ‘The Voice’
The Voice viewers will unmask its season 26 winner during Tuesday’s (Dec. 10) Part 2 finale episode. Jeremy Beloate is the lone Team Snoop representative in the Top 5. “He’s an exceptional vocalist, and I’m so happy for him,” the “Gin and Juice” rapper told ExtraTV. “I think he’s going to do his thing tonight.”
He did his thing, indeed, with an electrifying performance of “What the World Needs Now Is Love” by Jackie DeShannon.
Later in the night, Beloate followed with another epic performance of “Dancing on My Own” by Calum Scott and Tiësto.”
“Let’s be real, the day this show wraps up Jeremy should be getting a call for Broadway,” one viewer wrote on X/Twitter.
Beloate again dazzled the coaches in the Battle Rounds with his rendition of Bruno Mars’ “Just the Way You Are.” Unfortunately, a moving performance of Jvke’s “Golden Hour” didn’t give him the edge over Sofronio Vasquez during the three-way Knockouts. Fortunately, Snoop Dogg swooped in and snatched Beloate directly from the jaws of elimination.
The Performance That Caught Tom Jones’ Attention
Jeremy Beloate’s place in the Top 5 seemed like a foregone conclusion after his transcendent Live Show spin on Tom Jones’ “I (Who Have Nothing.)” The performance even caught the attention of Jones himself.
“I love working with singers, I love finding new talent, it is a wonderful thing,” The Voice UK coach said in a video posted to Instagram. “Oh, and Jeremy—I have been checking you out and I think you have a wonderful voice, inside a song you express yourself really well. If you had been on The Voice U.K., I would have turned for you myself.”
