Selena Gomez is grateful for her goddaughter!
On Sunday, Sept. 15, the actress and singer shared an Instagram Stories clip of her tiny relative cheering her on at the 76th annual Primetime Emmy Awards, where she was nominated for outstanding lead actress in a comedy series.
“Tia, tia,” the little girl yelled as she jumped for joy while watching the Emmys on TV.
While Jean Smart won the Emmy in Gomez’s category for her role in Hacks, the actress was able to draw some consolation from the footage.
“My goddaughter made my night … I’m also Tia by the way,” Gomez, 32, wrote in her caption (Tia means “Aunt” in Spanish).

According to Elle, Gomez became a godmother to her cousin Priscilla Cosme’s daughter, Aubriella Marie Cosme, in 2020.
Sharing a snap of the “Back To You” singer holding Aubriella at the time, a sign read, “Every princess needs a fairy godmother. Will you be mine?”
Gomez is also reportedly godmother to Priscilla’s oldest child — a son called Aiden. Back in 2015, Gomez shared a snap of Priscilla ahead of the birth of her first child.
“I mean, candids are always the best,” she wrote. “My cousin @pmdeleon22 is having her first. We always dreamed of having one together. UM, not today BUT beyond happy I’m a godmother now ☺️👶🙏🙌.”
