In the interview with TMZ this weekend, Alex Spiro dove directly into the whole debacle that was that Piers Morgan Uncensored interview.
We tried to explain Wright was an insider once but not anymore and we urged them to be careful and cautious. Now Alex Spiro, Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s attorney is setting the record straight about the the whole mess: Spiro appeared on TMZ recently to break down the headline-making interview with Piers Morgan and Jaguar Wright days, and days after Morgan issued an official apology and retraction of Wright’s unfounded claims about the couple.
“There’s rumors, and then there’s nonsense, and this is one step further,” Spiro said in the clip. “This is a pointed and formal accusation of something and I think it needed to be responded to.”
In the clip, he described the legal action that the Carters took as not a cease and desist but, “quite bluntly an ultimatum.” He explained, “Remove that false accusation, that’s demonstrably false, or a court’s gonna order you to. And I think he made the wise choice and acted accordingly.”
He added that someone on a journalistic platform exploited the “random rumor mill” and “lifted it up,” ultimately causing harm and “drowning out the voices of real victims.” He concluded that in a situation like this, “somebody who puts themselves out as a journalist should not effectively take advantage of the situation and exploit somebody in this way.”
Jay-Z, Beyoncé Furious Over Diddy Comparison, Attorney Alex Spiro Rips Piers Morgan | TMZ
As we reported, Morgan spoke directly to camera when apologizing and retracting the claims made in the interview, saying that Wright’s claims were “totally false and have no basis in fact.” He said, “like the proverbial cries of fire in a crowded theater, there are legal limits on us, too. And we apologize to Jay-Z and Beyoncé.”
When the interview dropped between Morgan and Wright, we wrote that it marked the first time Wright, a personality known online and in Black circles for years, received a platform of that size, and ultimately, a larger (and whiter) audience.
While the conspiracy theories will surely continue to spin out of control as the Diddy legal drama continues to play out in real-time, the Carters’ legal boundary could perhaps be the first of many for celebrities being roped into this story, many of whom just by simple hearsay and unfounded claims.
For years, Pharrell Williams and his looks have defied time. His smooth, radiant skin has never gone unnoticed as fans always discussed how is it he refused to age. The producer, musician and designer who is now 51, has kept his little secret until now.
After Williams dropped Humanrace, his skincare line in 2020, fans finally felt that he shared the key to the fountain of youth. But even after that, social media has been in a frenzy with comments praising the musician for his youthful skin.
“No like as a society we need to start asking Pharrell some questions. 48-years-old??? It’s time to investigate,” another user on X stated.
Some even joked that although he keeps having birthdays, he still doesn’t to age regardless of the passage of time.
“Happy birthday to @Pharrell! He turns 47 but still looks 25,” Essence tweeted back in 2020.
For years, all people could do was guess about his fountain to youth, but the rapper and fashion icon most recently finally revealed how he retains ageless look. The secret comes down to something surprisingly simple: exfoliation.
Williams swears by regularly exfoliating his skin to remove dead skin cells, according to an interview with People Magazine.
He does have a more elaborate routine that he says you can retrieve online, but additionally, it’s allowing your inner child to shine.
“It’s literally in here. That inner child, don’t ever silence it. Don’t ever [go], ‘Oh, I can’t do this anymore.’ No. That’s why you should absolutely do It right now. The people who want to put you in a box? They tried to do that to me too, and here we are,” Williams said in an interview.
The secret is out and it’s certainly worth trying to see if it works.
