Pop star Justin Bieber’s past mentor relationship with Sean ‘P. Diddy’ Combs became a widespread topic of conversation after the rapper was arrested on sex trafficking charges

After an old video of Justin Bieber with Sean “P. Diddy” Combs resurfaced, the pop star was forced to reflect on his time in the rapper’s care.

In the video, Diddy explains that he’ll be taking over unofficial custody for a day or two of the then 15-year-old rising star. He notes that, while he and Justin can’t specify their plans, that he’ll be making dreams come true. Years later, during an episode of Jimmy Fallon, Diddy again reiterates that what occurred was a total secret, warning that Justin knows better that to discuss it.

When Diddy was arrested in September with charges regarding an ongoing sex trafficking case, Justin’s past with the rapper was brought to light, but he reportedly isn’t happy about the experience being “dredged up.”
According to an insider, the recent stories are giving Justin perspective on their mentor-mentee relationship. They told inTouch Weekly: “Hearing all of the horrific stories, fans are looking at his associations with other stars in a whole new light … He’s finally breaking his silence to his friends about his nightmare experience and the private hell it’s caused him.”

Justin didn’t address the allegations against Diddy, yet. However, he hasn’t been fully hiding away from the public. The Yummy singer was spotted out recently with his wife, Hailey Bieber, having dinner to celebrate their anniversary. He was reserved from the press, and avoided making a statement on the situation.

In the past, the Canadian native has been open about his mental health struggles, including cancelling tour dates as a result. Up until now, the insider said, “he’s relied on therapy and his faith to get back on track.” Both Justin and Hailey are devout Christians who are open about their connection to the faith. Justin previously was known for spending time at Hillsong Church, which later faced allegations of sexual misconduct from its former congregants.

Additionally, Justin has found himself in the mentor position now that he’s older. In fact, he’s openly offered support to artists joining the industry, including Billie Eilish. The star continuously has been open about his own personal struggles, omitting any discussion about allegations against Diddy that he might have.

The source added: “If speaking about his past trauma can help others, he probably will,” the source added. “He wants to break the cycle, once and for all.” Throughout the bombshells dropping about Diddy, Justin’s wife is reportedly “massively supportive.”
