Selena Gomez teared up in a video she shared on her Instagram page Thursday.

The star got emotional as a young fan introduced her as someone who leads ‘generations with confidence, style and grace’ and someone who inspires kids like her.

The 32-year-old singer, actress and entrepreneur also announced that 100% of the sales of her makeup brand Rare Beauty at Sephora on World Mental Health Day (Thursday, October 10) would benefit her Rare Impact Fund.

‘Every purchase of a Rare Beauty product will go towards expanding access to mental health resources and support for young people around the world,’ Selena wrote on the post.

‘Your support means so much to me and I couldn’t be more grateful to have the opportunity to #MakeARareImpact for the second year. Thank you, ily guys,’ the mental health advocate wrote.

Selena also reflected on her mental health, noting that she tends to isolate herself – which can be ‘scary.’

Selena held back tears as she was introduced by a young fan in the clip, which she shared in her slideshow.

In one image, the star holds up a Sephora bag with a sticker that read ‘I made a Rare Impact.’

Selena looked chic in a black blouse with white trousers, rocking minimal makeup – showcasing her stunning natural beauty.

The Rare Impact Fund is a commitment by Selena and her Rare Beauty brand to expand access to mental health services as well as education for the youth, according to the Rare Beauty website.

The website also noted that the brand is mobilizing $100 million for the fund.

Selena also reflected on her mental health in an interview recently, and was asked what she does on a bad mental health day.

The star, who was diagnosed with bipolar disorder in 2020, said that she will reach to friends and people that she ‘trusts.’

‘Sometimes isolating myself when I’m not feeling great can be scary. I think all these thoughts. But if I’m around people that make me feel good, and make me feel like I can say anything, that always helps me,’ Selena said, via Page Six.

She also noted that she does speak to her therapist during these moments of feeling low mentally, but she doesn’t ‘want to call my therapist too much,’ she said.

The star also said that she loves to talk to her younger sister Gracie, 11, because she’s ‘very sweet and innocent and she makes me feel very grounded.’
