And David Beckham proved there’s no bad blood between him and Ryan Reynolds‘ anti-superhero alter-ego Deadpool by taking a series of hilarious selfies alongside the costumed star, with David’s three children getting in on the action.

The former footballer, 43, shared the amusing snaps to his Instagram Stories on Friday, with youngest daughter Harper, 6, throwing a playful punch at the Ryan’s face.

David posed for one rather cheeky photo with Ryan, 41 – holding onto his leg around his waist while softly placing his hand on the actor’s head.

Romeo, 15 and 13-year-old Cruz couldn’t say no to a lighthearted photo with the beloved comic book character.

Romeo kept his cool and simply threw his arm around the Marvel star, while brother Cruz paired up with Ryan for a sweet heart sign.

The fun family snaps appeared to take place after filming the wildly successful Deadpool sequel promo, which has now received over 6 million views in just 24 hours.

The hilarious promo skit referred back to the first film in the franchise after the superhero said that Beckham had a high-pitched voice, but the former England football player took it all in good humour.

At the beginning of the video, David can be seen rewatching the moment he is mocked by Deadpool, who has a twisted sense of humour.

Seconds later the masked character knocks on his door with a plate of cookies and milk as a form of apology.

David responds by slamming a huge wooden door in his face before returning to the sofa.

He appears with a huge bunch of red balloons, however when he opens his mouth he speaks in high-pitched helium tones, before saying ‘too soon?’.

Again, he receives a slammed door in his face.
