Jeopardy! Fans Miss Episode Thanks To Programming Change
Many Jeopardy! fans were unable to watch a recent episode thanks to a programming change. There was anticipation among fans to see a contestant’s second win. However, viewers tuned in to see other events, without much apparent warning.
Fans Tuned In & Saw Sports Games Or News Reports
The episode aired alongside various events, including both an MLB and a WNBA game. Some viewers saw special news reports instead of the game show.
As the show is syndicated, exactly when the show airs and what channel it airs on varies in different parts of the country. However, many fans from different regions shared a similar experience when they missed the episode.
Ryan Manton – YouTube
The U.S. Sun reported various fan responses to missing the episode. As one user wrote on social media, “I can’t believe I missed tonight’s episode because of some baseball game I don’t care about.” Another user also noted, “YouTube TV didn’t record today’s episode for me 🙁 Looks like my local station didn’t air it due to the special report regarding Iran and Israel.”
Many fans wanted to watch the episode to see contestant Ryan Manton compete for his second win. He had already made an impression on fans with the love story between him and his wife Lauren.
Manton Proved To Be Ever The Romantic During His Second Appearance
During his first appearance, Manton revealed that Lauren also appeared on the show a few years prior. He also proposed to her the night before the taping of the show. During his own first appearance on the show, Manton also answered the Final Jeopardy! by writing, “What is I Love You, Lauren.” However, having only wagered $22, he still ended up a Jeopardy! champion.
During his second appearance, Manton competed against Mike McComb and Brooke Levine. All three made it to the Final Jeopardy!, which read “The first British sitcom to win a Best Comedy Golden Globe, it was remade in a U.S. version that had almost 15 times as many episodes.”
Both Mike and Brooke correctly guessed The Office, giving them scores of $10,000 and $1,200, respectively. However, Manton once again used the opportunity to be romantic. This time, his response wrote, “What is I still love you Lauren.”
With this win, Manton is set to appear on his third episode. Many fans are already hoping to see him qualify to the Tournament of Champions, in which contestants must win five consecutive games.
