“The rumors about me facing [Elijah] Topuria are not true. I am in the process of preliminary agreements with the Ambani family for an exhibition boxing match against Logan Paul in India. I have agreed. After that, I intend to return to the UFC ring.”
This fight comes after an eventful martial arts career for McGregor, but he has not fought since breaking his leg in a fight against Dustin Poirier in 2021. He was expected to face Michael Chandler at UFC 303, but pulled out due to a foot injury.
Logan Paul, who rose to fame as a YouTube star before turning to boxing, has fought in several exhibition fights, including a famous fight against Floyd Mayweather that ended in a draw. He also had a boxing victory over MMA fighter Dillon Danis.
McGregor indicated that the match will be held under the sponsorship of the Ambani family, led by billionaire Mukesh Ambani, who has a personal fortune estimated at US$ 120 billion, according to Forbes magazine.
